Seeking illumination for the journey to becoming the men God created us to be
Psalm 119:105...Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
John 8:12...Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
The Men of Silas are on a mission to connect with God and enter into a deep and abiding relationship with him, unterstanding whom he has called us to be and recognizing the resources he has provided to help us achieve that end. It is our goal to be accessible, interactive, encouraging, understanding and supportive within our local body and in outreach. Ultimately, it is our hope that God is glorified by the way we live our lives as we learn how to be submitted to his will and empowered according to his purpose.
The conclusion of the matter is, the Lord is still good.
In 2007, some of our goals are to finish the "Abuse Series" where we are presently working on Combating Spiritual Abuse. We will also look to expand our Ripple Project to include a local charity and to revive our CMI (Complete Man Initiative) project. Most importantly however, we will turn our focus towards learning to appreciate just how good God has been to each of us and how to express that gratitude with more than just words.
